Nr D7: EN 13432:2000

EN 13432:2000 "Requirements for packaging recoverable through composting and
biodegradation- Test scheme and evaluation criteria for the final acceptance of packaging" (Official Journal of the European Communities L 190 12/07/2001 P.0021-0023)
Nr S-i1: OK Compost; MaterBi NF01U:

Certifies the BioBag's requirements for quality with regard to technical and mechanical properties within its area of use. Certifies that the BioBag is 100% biodegradable and compostable. This certificate is based on the strictest European standard for compostable products, EN 13432.

Nr S-i2: OK Compost; PMS 3425 Green:

Certificate attesting to the fact that the printing ink is free of heavy metals injurious to health.

Nr S-i3: OK Compost; MaterBi NF 803 and NF 803 - 1:

Certifies the bio-film's requirements for quality with regard to technical and mechanical properties within its area of use. Certifies that the bio-film is 100% biodegradable and compostable.

Nr S-i4: OK Compost; MaterBi ZF 03U/A:

Certifies the BioBag's requirements for quality with regard to technical and mechanical properties within its area of use. Certifies that the BioBag is 100% biodegradable and compostable. The certificate is based on the strictest European standard for compostable products, EN 13432.
However, this quality has a lower melting threshold than NFO1U.

Nr S-i5: VGS; Combi Biomat; bag 440 x 570:

Quality assurance certificate attesting to the technical and mechanical properties of the product within its area of use on the basis of the requirement specifications given.

Nr S-i6: VGS; Biobag garden 450 x 570 mm and 600 x 900 mm:

Quality assurance certificate attesting to the technical and mechanical properties of the product within its area of use on the basis of the requirement specifications given.

Nr S-i7: Din Certco; MaterBi NF01U:

Certifies that the material Mater-Bi NF01U used in the production of BioBags is 100% biodegradable and compostable.

 

 

Norway: Nr S-no1: EK Certificate

Certifies that Mater-BI meets the requirements of Emballasjekonvensjonen (a Norwegian packaging convention) for safe food product packaging.

Norway: Nr S-no2: Norwegian National Agricultural Inspection Service

Bags made of Mater-Bi Nf01U are approved for use in collecting leftover food from the food service industry and to be recycled into animal feed.

Norway: Nr S-no3: DEBIO

BioAgro and BioBag 3-240 Litre are certified as a non-organic input factor that may be used in organic agriculture according to guidelines specified in detail in Debio's Regulation on Production and Labeling of Organic Agricultural Production.

Finland: Nr S-fi1: APPLE

Products carrying the apple-logo may be used for collecting food waste to be composted.

USA: Nr S-US1: BPI Biodegradable Products Institute

This plastic product meets ASTM #D6400-99, "Standard Specifications for Compostable Plastics", and is intended to be composted in a municipal or commercial facility operated in accordance with best composting management practices. Check to see if such a facility exists in your community.
